Peter Terem is the Professor of International Relations and the Head of the Department of International Relations and Diplomacy at the Faculty of Political Science and International Relations, Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia. He teaches mainly Political Geography, Territorial Studies, Political Geography of Slovakia, Geopolitics of Central Europe, U.S. Foreign Policy and supervises PhD students. His research work is focused on the problems of the proliferation of nuclear weapons, foreign policy of Slovak Republic, the role of great powers and regional powers in world politics. His completed research can be found at the universities in Reims (University Champagne-Ardenne), Boston (Boston College), and other research institutions in Central Europe. Dr. P. Terem is also an author or co-author of several monographs, publications and textbooks in the fields of political geography, geopolitics and transformation processes in Central Europe, foreign policy of the Slovak Republic, nuclear proliferation.

Tomasz Stępniewski is the Associate Professor and the Head of the Department for Eastern Studies at the Institute of Political Science and International Affairs, the Faculty of Social Sciences, the John Paul II Catholic University of Lublin, Poland. He is interested in the European Union’s Eastern policy, international relations on the Commonwealth of Independent States’ area, Russian policy towards Eastern Europe. He was involved in a number of research-projects dealing with the developments in the post-Soviet space while at the same time engaged (by invitation) in expert-level discussions and negotiations on related issues. Formerly he was the research fellow at the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute from 2005 to 2015, Carnegie Moscow Centre. His main research-interests include: the EU’s policy towards its eastern neighborhood, international relations of the Commonwealth of Independent States’, Russian policy towards Eastern Europe.

Petr Jüptner is the Director of Institute of Political Studies of Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. He was researcher of projects of the Czech Science Foundation (2006-2008 Postdoctoral Grant “Europeanization of Czech Local Politics. Political Science Analysis of European Legislative Trends”, 2010-2012 “Instruments for amalgamation of fragmented local governments. Analysis of experiences and practice across European countries: references for Czech Republic.”). He is focused on local government and on problematic of direct mayor elections. Since 2011 he is working as director of Institute of Political Studies.

Jan Charvat is the Professor of the Institute of Political Science of Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic). He has over 10 years of professional teaching experience and participation in project management. He worked as an advisor in the Ministry of Justice and Ministry of Regional Development. During 2014-2016, he implemented the Czech Science Foundation (GA ČR) grant “Sources and forms of subculture politicization in post-socialism (number 14-19324S).

Miloš Brunclík is the Associate Professor of Political Science of the Institute of Political Science of Charles University in Prague (Czech Republic) Miloš Brunclík specializes in political and party systems with a particular focus on the Nordic countries. His research is centred upon theory and practice of parliamentary and semi-presidential regimes. He is author of a number of articles in peer-reviewed journals in the Czech Republic as well as abroad. He is also co-author of several books. Editor-in-Chief of the scientific journal «Acta Politologica».
